Redirects don't work

In cPanel I have added the redirects below, from X10 server, to another server, because you have disabled cgi here on free accounts, and I can run the pages with cgi scripts on another server. However, the redirects don't work, and I'm wondering if I overlook something:

http://new-age-education.org/lifegame2/
redirected to:
http://ednu.heliohost.org/lifegame2/

and

http://new-age-education.org/gamesoflife/
redirected to:
http://ednu.heliohost.org/gamesoflife/

Help would be appreciated.

Redirects end up as entries in .htaccess.

If you post the contents of your .htaccess , we can see what it does.

There is no .htaccess file.
I guess that explains it.
Should I put an empty .htaccess file there or should I put some contents in it?
