Refresh twice for page updates

Im running on xo3 and my site has always made me refresh twice to see updated content. Like when someone sends a message and I'm on the index page, I need to reload the page twice to see the notification in the navbar. Anyway to fix this or make the site run faster?

This could be due to the varnish cache used by x10hosting. You can read more about it, including how to disable it, here:
