ugh i installed the trial tina soft on my computer and cant get in then i did system evoceryand like i acidentaly shut it down in the middle now when i open it says windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt : hal.dll

well i have a hp media center pc running windows media center edition 2005 can anyone help me im using my old computer with 45k dial up lol if i were to take the hard drive out and use the hal.dll from this computer will it work ordo i have to go buy another cd and also if the hardrive thing works can someone tell me how to link my media center hp pc to my gateway 1999

couldnt you simply download a copy of windows, burn the .iso to a CD, install windows or whatever OS on the ****ed up machine??

If that doesnt work. Get a hammer, and hit the damn comp... sorted lol

I know it mainly talks about XP but one of these solutions posted here should work.

That's piracy, which is illegal.


You should be able to just copy HAL.dll over from one Windows installation to another.

EHH FORGET IM BACK!!!! I WENT TO A SHOP AND GOT IT FIXED FOR 45 DOLLARs they did system recovery like i did but they reformatted -.-' wiped all my files when i get bakc i have to install so im busy ttyl

do that next time.
