Greetings webgurus,

I am a new x10Hosting user, having registered my account on 9-Aug-2008. Since registering I have been unfairly suspended once already just for using the built-in backup tool in cPanel to back up my uploads and mySQL databases as I go. I have also been unable to access my pages (even when not suspended) due to the frequent outages of the Stoli.x10 server since I registered (for example, today's announcement). Also, I work full time, and so only get to play with my new x10Hosting account after hours, and if that happens to coincide with a time when your server is down, then I don't get much done at all.

And yet, there is a requirement in your TOS for me to put up the required advertising within one week of registering or I run the risk of having my account suspended (again).

the x10Hosting team said:
We require avertisements are required to be placed on your website. This is a form of revenue for x10Hosting and helps us continue to offer free services like this one to you. You must follow the below terms in order to avoid suspension, or in extreme cases, termination of your hosting account.Advertisements are expected to be placed on a working site within one week of sign-up.

What I would like to know is, in light of the difficulty that I have been experiencing in setting up my new site, whether I could get an extension of one extra week to have the required adverts in place on my site?

My cPanel login is: trstmn

Kind regards,

Due to the outage, we will give you extra time. If you are suspended, just say you were unable to add the ads due to the server upgrades and you'll be unsuspended.

Thanks. I am still waiting to get to my site tonight. The HTTP server is the only thing not working at present, so I can use FTP but cannot view the pages.

Any advice or assistance that can be given in getting my x10 adverts to display automatically within my Lanius CMS package would be appreciated. I am using Lanius for the first time, and using x10Hosting for the first time, so I am a n00b in both areas. :dunno:
