Hello, it's saying that I used a prohibited term in my domain name "mail.mydomain.com"? Why is "mail" prohibited? Also if it's prohibited, why wasn't I blocked when I was initially adding it?

I added it as a separate domain ontop of my base domain because DirectAdmin doesn't have a means to make an email for a subdomain...

I think this should be lifted given that I am not really doing anything malicious? I just wanted to separate my email from my base domain.

It is common for spammers to use that. It was not blocked initially, to be able to give users the opportunity who have valid allowable domains to easily be unsuspended given everything checks out.

Actually, DirectAdmin already has mail.mydomain.com as a subdomain, so I'm actually surprised it did not error out for that.

I removed the pre-existing `mail.mydomain.com` entry on the DNS management so it didn't conflict, then I added my own new domain entry.
The reason being that with the default one, I can only make address@mydomain.com, but I wanted to make address@mail.mydomain.com

This would conflict and I believe you have your DNS mixed up. You will require the mail.domainname.com via your MX and DNS records or email services will not work at all.

We do not allow subdomains under the term " mail " as this is utilized and very uncommon to be used for any legit purposes.

Thats not going to impact email reputation one bit. That’s actually more likely to make your email reputation worse.
