Reseting Awstats?

Hi,

As you know, every x10hosting account is preinstalled with Awstats. Is there any way to reset the Awstat stats? I've tried deleting the /tmp/awstats/awstats[date].[domain].txt, but as soon as I click update button in Awstats or it is automatically updated in 24 hours, all the stats return.

why would you want to reset it for?

Well I was receiving alot of referer spam and spam traffic, and now that I stopped that spam, I wanted to start clean without all the bogus and bloated stats.
