Now even downloading my site trough the ftp triggers this? magnificent!

Resource limits are to everything you do with the server.
I suggest that if you are using filezilla, put(upload)only one file a time and check if you still face the problem.
Also I want to tell that X10 support is seriously working on this so kindly be patient.
