I'm not sure what went wrong but www.nzamp.org no longer works. Is it possible to restore a backup? I can't see any backups in DirectAdmin.

Backups are not provided for free hosting users. There was one made in December and in April due to server maintenance, but these are not intended to be used for any purpose other than to fix accounts that were broken in the transfer process.
That being said, an admin could say that they'll do it, but these backups are not permanent and new ones will not be made, unless otherwise announced.
