Restoring backupss

ok, someone hacked my site, and im trying to restore the backup i had but ive been sitting here for 2 hours and nothings happening, is it susposed to take this long?

What exactly are you restoring? The files on the website or the database? The database shouldn't take more than a few minutes. But if you're restoring your entire site via FTP, it might take a while if you have a large site.
