About your site:
It's very basic and could do with some padding around the text (It's almost touching the border. It may also look better if you center it, there is a large grey block that is very empty.
Also there are some HTML validation errors:

You are now with a basic structure.
The horizontal rectangular box is not as much appealing.
The site content is not fully occupied over the page ( i mean that the right side of your page seems to be blank with no content.)

if your gonna learn how to use tables... please use them right. try centering the text, or better yet, make the box on the left bigger, and stop using shareware graphics.
