secured pages on websites

Hi everyone,

Sorry if this is an obvious question but i havnt found the answers in the obvious places..
I've read a few people on here mentioning that if we have pages which are not publicly accessible and require users to login to view certain pages on our website, do we need to let the x10 staff have a username/password to be able to view these extra pages?
