Security issue

Hi on my website-[removed by request]
I've added the 'Password Protect Directories' on the public html folder but the problem is, when you click cancel it prevents people accessing the site but if you click the 'x' close button people can still access the website?

I tried your site on Chrome, Iron, Firefox, Safari, and IE10.
None acted the way you described when clicking the "x" to close the authentication pop up.
