Server Errors

Recently I've been experiencing a lot of server errors quite frequently. Joomla won't let me install any extension, and load times are freakishly slow.

Last night I kept getting the Internal 500 Server Error message while my friend could get in just fine. And here's the last one I got while re-installing Joomla:

Cookies do not appear to be enabled on your browser client. You will not be able to install the application with this feature disabled. Alternatively, there could also be a problem with the server's session.save_path. If this is the case, please consult your hosting provider if you don't know how to check or fix this yourself.

I'm on the chopin server and quite frankly, these issues are eating away my patience. I'd appreciate any help offered. Thanks in advance.
