HI, I am on chopin, are the accounts on this also being move?,as I am having the same problems as a friend is with absolut.

I am trying to re install joomla 1.5, I keep getting a message saying files already exist and I should delete them manually, I tried this and they keep reappearing, I have also changed the file permissions to 777, but they are still there.

I hear that the plan is eventually to move all the other servers.

Considering some of the posts I have seen, I would suggest that you do what you should have been doing anyway. Make backups of your site.

Add:

You do not change the permissions on the file. You change the premission on the directory holding the files ( to 0777 temporarily )

You don't change the permissions to remove them if they exist you highlight them and click "Delete"

I have highlighted the files and clicked delete, I have also changed the permissions of the directory holding the files, none of these things worked.

What folder is it installed in? Link me.

I'm not sure how to link you as I am new to all this stuff.They are in folder public_html, and are called:
administrator
cache
components
images
includes
language
media
modules
templates

Delete all those folders and you should be able to re-installrep
