Server reliability

Are there still issues with the servers? I started my account last week and ever since my site has been plagued with constant 404 errors, or just server timeouts when trying to load a page. Is this a common issue with the free hosting? I was thinking about upgrading to paid but so far the instability of my site is leading me to not want to chance the cost.

I'm hoping it's just due to all the upgrades going on this week and last.

Anyone have some input on the subject?

I would say to you "Just be patient."

I have been with X10 since December 2007 and their service far outweighs the issues they are experiencing now. The server moves, updates and upgrades will end and then you will see a free service that could rival many paid hosts.

Stick with them and you won't be disappointed.

Thanks for your responses. That answered my question. I'm content to wait it out, it was just frustrating because it seemed to be sporadic. So far I love the tools provided to work with the site, and I like the feel of this host a lot better than past hosts.

I hope things sort themselves out for you soon. By the look of the latest update from Corey, PHP is now installed & things are gradually getting back to normal.
