Servers Down?

its down and up again...then down again...
anyway anyone know howdo i upgrade directly to paid hosting?? i tried upgrade option in the account panel but it saids no avaible for my account....is there anyway to upgrade without transfer of files and changing nameserver? i cant wait cos i just got my site up and my site cannot afford to be down ...wat if this is all a gimmick so people will upgrade to paid servers in desperate times..but then again if its so critical for the site to be up, then shld hve opt for paid severs in the 1st place....this is so frastrating

Service is normally very good, though there will be intermittent periods on Free, when work is being done on the servers, or the load becomes heavier due to peak periods of demand.
@d61helix - you probably just clicked on the upgrade option in the Account panel. The forum & Account Panel are apparently going to be changed soon (currently being redesigned), so there are some broken links which they aren't fixing in the mean time.
If you want to upgrade to Paid, which guarantees much greater reliability, you can find it here ;

Well, judging by the replies you already got - yes, some others are also having the problem.
I just checked mine, & my site is up, but cPanel is loading a bit slowly.

thanks zen, i know abt the premium hosting, but when i order, it asked me few options but doesnt have one which say iam currently on free hosting and would like to upgrade to paid....i mean, i realli dont want to go thru the hassle of transfering everything onto other server...and is the nameserver same as free hosting? since it takes days if i were to send request to my lousy domain host...everything on tight budget u see...

I'm not sure if there's much transferring to be done - I don't think there is.
I'll alert staff, & hopefully if/when they pick up my message, they'll be able to answer this for you......

thanks man, yre the best..i always see around helping clueless folks like me....i take that youre on the stoli server as well? i check the server status its kinda accurate...wonder if other servers have lesser downtimes?maybe i cancel my acc and register again might end up on the other servers..:biggrin:

I'm on Stoli, but it's pretty good most of the time so I wouldn't bother trying to get onto another server (the grass always seems greener on the other side, but it generally isn't!)
As in that post I linked to though, paid is definitely the way to go, if reliability is essential for your site.
