Servers is slow

I've noticed that the server my site is on is very slow all the time and will crash every 5-10 mins. if my website/forums were very active and had aload of members attending i would understand but at the moment im only trying to set up the website and forums to make the look good but this is taking me longer than normal as the server seems to crashing regualy, the FTP service and the cPanel is fine and ive had no problems with them it just seems to be the http service that is poor.

From yesterday the servers are oveloaded. When i notified them (acc manager) they told me that admins r looking after it. This is a temporary issue

Well i dont know when my website started acting up like this but it was befor yesterday thats for sure but i do know it was not like this 2weeks ago when i set my site up but what you say seems reasonable because their website and forums seem a little slow today as well

Yeah same, I'm on boru. Been getting complaints all day about my site just not loading, or only loading half the page then timing out. Can't check the cpanel cause I'm at work.

Not that I'm complaining really (free service after all!) but in case there's a problem, thought you should know.

yes it is a free service but ive tested on many freehosting sites and have been brillient also the idea of a free service with this site atleast is to test out the service befor purchasing and with the way the free service is at the moment is not very appealing to myself and im sure its not very appealing to anyone else if they were thinking or purchasing.

I am using this service for last several months and was good . This is a temporary issue .For last 2-3 days this was very annoying.Hope admins will make it work better

Im sure they will fix it if thats the issue, high chance is they have to many subdomains on servers meaning CPU usage is high causing the crashes, if that is the issue then you should see improvments in the next couple of days as it shouldnt take that ong to sort out.

Ok a little update, ive just noticed an improvement im the rate my pages are loading now on my forums but my indexpage still is loading slow have not had any crashes yet.

Mmm. My ftp isn't working either.
I'm trying to upload changes that I've made to my site offline.
Hope it's back up soon so I can get back to work.

Does anyone know if this would improve if I got a paid service? and also does anyone know how to go about upgrading to a paid service? There doesn't seem to be much information up about it.

For FTP try boru.x10hosting.com as your FTP host..

Paid hosting have 99.9 % uptime and less load than free servers...

As for the upgrading, you can buy a paid package and have you free account transfered over there.

As for why the servers are slow, the recent upgrade that was underway recently is not finished. We have moved the servers but there is still massive work to do. The admins are working around the clock to attend problems while finishing the upgrades.

Stop rating posts asking to recive help bad and if an admin can read this please can you do somthing about this user as rating comments/replys bad that are asking for help is a bit unhelpfull its self and there is no need.

Regarding your FTP issue;

im having the same pronlem now but my FTP client is reporting this

Response: 421 50 users (the maximum) are already logged in, sorry

i can only assume this means 42K users are accessing the FTP part of their websites right now and i can only say keep trying to access your FTP area untill you get in.

only problem with that is Multi-Upload takes a bit of time to do i like abit of drag and drop
