Setting Permissions for Subwebs

I am using Frontpage 2003. I created a sub web for which I want to create specific user permissions to and add a password. I am not able to and when I click on Tools>Server>Administration Home, the program tells me that these settings can only be modified through a world wide web browser such as Internet Explorer. Could anyone direct me on how exactly I can use a web browser to set a password for one of my sub webs? If I cannot do this through Frontpage is there a way I can do this through CPanel?

Sub web? Subdomain, maybe?

Well, Frontpage refers to it as Subweb but I guess sub-domain would mean the same thing. Basically, its a website nested into the root web (or parent web), but I need to know how to set separate user permissions for it from Frontpage (or cPanel if possible).

Are you talking about linux style permissions (read, write, execute?)

If so, you just need to use the "change permissions" tool of CPanel. I'm guessing it's asking you to make the folder more secure, in which case you would need to change the "world" permission setting to whatever it says.

Subdomains are created in CPanel and they are mapped to a certain folder that you specify. You can change the permissions on that folder like I said above.

Where exactly is this "Change permissions tool" in CPanel? I'm not able to find it...

Sorry, I should have been more specific.

CPanel -> File manager -> {highlight the file/folder you want changed} -> Change permissions button on the toolbar
