I want to setup SSL. I did a search and found i should enter https://yourserver.x10hosting.com/~yourusername

I found on cpanel my server is boru.x10 and my username is dudemaaa so:

https://boru.x10.x10hosting.com/~dudemaaa is what I'm supposed to use. I'm kinda new to this whole thing and I've been able to guess my way around pretty good and have a website up at www.wannaspeed.com, anyways how do I test the SSL before going ahead with configuring it on my site? When I enter https://boru.x10.x10hosting.com/~dudemaaa into my browser it finds nothing. Am I doing something wrong? undoubtedly....

yeah I tried that too because boru.x10.x10hosting looked funny. I just tried it again in a browser and it does nothing. Am i supposed to be able to test it somehow? Thanks for the quick reply.

Looks like shared ssl on boru is down. I try two more accounts but can`t get it.. While mine (on chopin) is working fine.

I inform the staff about that.. This will resolve soon.

It seems there is a problem with the SSL certificate on boru. It is not at the top of the priorities now (lotus is, sadly) but this matter will be tend to in time.

Is there a time frame on when this is going to be addressed? Can I switch servers or something? I realize I can't be too picky since the hosting is free, but I still have a site to run

One fix...many users.

We'd love to see this fixed before we were forced to look for other options. Sure, it's free. But one of the main selling points for me was SSL out of the box. Free is also a launch pad for spending money in piecemeal approach (bucks here for not having to login to forum, bucks there to increase bandwidth/storage).

The quality of any offering always speaks to the quality of the whole offering.

Cheers!
Edit:
It looks like some progress is being made. You can now reach

https://boru.x10hosting.com (Go Daddy SSL cert starting 2/3)
and
https://absolut.x10hosting.com (Go Daddy SSL cert starting 2/2)

Sadly, user directories do not appear to be working yet. Any idea if this is because they haven't been setup in the first place to be in the SSL path or if they were setup improperly?

The little engine that could says "I think I can, I think I can!"

Here's hoping the server administrator is a fan of mimicry.
