Site Down (wordpress) Mysql Problem

Hello,

I'm on the Chopin Server (my website is : http://mostarappeal.pcriot.com/ ), and I get an "error establishing a database connection"

when I check my databases, I get this :

mappeal_wp is now being checked.

mappeal_wp.wp_comments OK mappeal_wp.wp_links OK mappeal_wp.wp_options OK mappeal_wp.wp_postmeta OK mappeal_wp.wp_posts OK mappeal_wp.wp_term_relationships OK mappeal_wp.wp_term_taxonomy OK mappeal_wp.wp_terms OK mappeal_wp.wp_usermeta OK mappeal_wp.wp_users OK

I think this has been kinda answered in this thread but I'm afraid the solution given is too "brief" for me to understand.
It appears I have to change the DB_HOST to localhost, but I have NO IDEA how to do that. If that IS indeed the problem, could you point me in the right direction, please? If it isn't the problem, would you be so kind as to shine a light of understanding on my problem.

Post your connection code (the entire script that you use to connect to the database) and I will edit it to work with local host

thanks for the quick reply, but I don't quite see what you mean. I have no idea what scripts I use :-( I used to just let WP do it's thing and I never really looked into it :-( Sorry.

can you give me any (slightly more detailed) instructions?

ps : if it helps, here is what I get connecting to mostarappeal.pcriot.com/wp-admin (btw, is that the script you mean?)

Error establishing a database connection
This either means that the username and password information in your wp-config.php file is incorrect or we can't contact the database server at mysql-chopin.x10hosting.com. This could mean your host's database server is down.

Are you sure you have the correct username and password?
Are you sure that you have typed the correct hostname?
Are you sure that the database server is running?

Oops, I didn't read that you were talking about word press. I am not sure, because I have never used it.

I am on Chopin.

For wordpress, I changed the DB_HOST from mysql-chopin.x10hosting.com TO localhost.

Things started to work immediately.
