I tried one last time to upload PHPNuke 8.0 and i'm stuck. Here's what I did:

1. Made a new database and user and gave the user full permission with the database.
2. Uploaded the PHPNuke 8.0 Files into /public_html/PHPNuke
3. Added my info to the config. file and I triple checked it.

Now the index.html still comes up on my homepage... It works if I type in www.myurl.x10hosting.com/PHPNuke but I shouldn't have to type /PHPNuke.

Should I move all of the files out of the PHPNuke folder and into the /public_html folder?

yes if you want people, including yourself to be able to see them they have to be under the public_html directory. but all the files can stay in a folder. also what server are you on?

next time go to ur cpanel. click on server status and you would see this:

Service Details Status
ftpd up
pop up
exim (exim-4.68-1_cpanel_maildir) up
cpsrvd up
named failed
httpd (2.2.6 (Unix)) failed
mysql (5.0.45-community) up
lfd up
Server Load 6.04 (4 cpus)
Memory Used 44.9 %
Swap Used 0.01 %
Disk /dev/sda5 (/) 11 %
Disk /dev/sda7 (/home) 54 %
Disk /dev/sda8 (/tmp) 8 %
Disk /dev/sda1 (/boot) 18 %
Disk /dev/sda2 (/usr) 45 %
Disk /dev/sdc (/var/lib/mysql) 17 %
Disk /dev/sdb1 (/backup) 37 %
Disk /dev/sda3 (/var) 94 %

now pay attention to the parts that say "failed"

one of them happens to be the httpd server. which means you cant access any files right now.

i already posted about it. and i was in the middle of setting up drupal....

That is just how it is...all forums are like that...you have to create a index.html that send the link to your forum (www.myurl.x10hosting.com/PHPNuke). That is what I have to do as well. You could also add a redirection to it, so it automatically redirects to it ( I believe).
