You might want to either enable error logging or display errors in cPanel to look for any errors/notices/warnings left by PHP for those PHP scripts.

How could I do that? I don't find any option like that in cPanel.

In the logs section in cPanel the only thing I see is a resources button, which when I enter it it says:

Your site has been limited within the past 24 hours
You have reached entry processes (number of simultaneously running php and cgi scripts, as well as cron jobs and shell sessions) limit 5 times

In any case, I haven't modified the php scripts in the last week or so, so I don't see how they would suddenly stop working. Even http://www.nightearth.com/links.php , which is a quite dumb php (there is no DB access or anything fancy), is not loading correctly. If you look at the html returned, it is truncated. Other scripts are returning 0 length.

I have switched the PHP version from 5.5 to 5.6 and now it works! I wonder if this has forced some cache refresh, or there was any issue with PHP 5.5 (with which it used to work normally).
