Site just set up and very slow

I just installed Wordpress with Fantastico and the site seems hideously slow. At some point I got a "Temporarily unavailable due to scheduled maintenance" message, now it's gone but the site is still a lot slower than a fresh WP installation should be.

Your site seems reasonably fast for me, the slowness might have just been due to heavy load on the server at the time.

Also, the community support team who answers these tickets have access to all of your account information (account names and domains, NOT passwords or the files/databases inside of your account), so posting that info isn't necessary in the future
