Ok, I have ibnuasad.x10hosting.com and I parked the domain NetWorldTalk.Net to that account.

Here is the problem, whenever I go to http://networldtalk.net/forum , the address bar will change to http://www.ibnuasad.x10hosting.com/forum/

Is there anyway to prevent this thing from happening?

Btw, I tried to Link my cPanel account with the forum account but I didnt receive any emails..its been 2 days already..

I'm not sure about the first problem, I'll get one of the other admins on that

As for linking cPanel with the forum account, have you updated your contact information in cPanel? The main reason why people don't receive emails is because they haven't updated the contact information in cPanel for a long time. Make sure your cPanel contact information has a recent email address that you use.

Try linking it again

I have the same problem with my forum. If I use direct path to index file, it works fine, otherwise it redirects to subdomain.

@Spartan Erik
Let me make myself clear.

I have a webhosting account with x10H 'ibnuasad.x10hosting.com'. I have have parked my domain (NetWorldTalk.Net) from the cPanel. I have created the subdomain 'forum.networldtalk.net'.

Technically, when I created the subdomain I can access the forum with forum.networldtalk.net or ibnuasad.x10hosting.com/forum.

If I go to networldtalk.net/forum it leads me to the forum but the URL at the address bar changes to www.ibnuasad.x10hosting.com/forum.

So, is there any way to prevent the URL at the address bar from changing?

My email address at cPanel is updated. I have just tried to link it again but still no email.

Btw, is there something wrong with the Yahoo! ads...coz I put the right code and it is not displaying right now. Yesterday the ad was ok but today its gone. I didnt touch any of my files since yesterday.

I used to have the same problem as you until I changed my default domain to my purchased domain and got rid of the subdomain.

If you do want to still keep the subdomain with your other domain parked to it, without it always forwarding to the subdomain, I did find a way around that as well.

To stop the domain from forwarding you have to always remember to add an extra "/" after your links to a folder.

For example:
http://networldtalk.net/forum
redirects me to:
http://www.ibnuasad.x10hosting.com/forum/

However, if you visit:
http://networldtalk.net/forum/

The domain name stays the same without forwarding.

Hope that helps.

How do I do that?

Well, you can do that once you link your account to your cpanel. You'd have to unpark the domain and then modify your account settings. I unfortunately had major problems when doing that because for some reason it must not have unparked properly, and it ended up screwing up my dns entries. Luckily I eventually got an admin to fix the problem.

However it seems that you are unable to to link your cpanel account with your forum account yet so you'll have to wait on that. Once it is, you should be able to do that yourself. Just make sure you remember to unpark your domain before trying to change it.

Yea some forums will change the URL to match the one in you admin settings. So once you have your domain working go into your forum admin panel and change the domain name to the one you want to use. If thats not the problem then I'm not sure because I have my domain setup the same way and it doesn't do that. I also wouldn't suggest changing your domain for cpanel. If your domain ever has problems you still have the subdomain to revert to.
