Slow website

I just wondered if there was a reason my site seems slow to load. Not much on there at the moment and not many plugins, disabling the plugins makes no difference to loading speed.

Can you help?

you could do some work to reduce the load time of your landing (first) page

sometimes its quicker than others. I did a test when it is slow and it was just under 8 seconds. Did the test a few times over a few hours and sometimes it was about 2 seconds other times it was 7-8 seconds.

Even google webmaster tools says its slow:

Some URLs listed in this Sitemap have a high response time. This may indicate a problem with your server or with the content of the page.

The site has 2 posts at the moment in wordpress, no reason for this slow speed

in this case it is not the number of posts OR the amount of time for WordPress + addons to make the page
I have received load times for your site - from about one second to more than 15 seconds
this points to the load the free-hosting server was working with
AND
at the link you posted [ https://gtmetrix.com/reports/www.amsterdamguide.eu.org/b8pfSPCi ]
the page load size - and number of requests - are not the same for most reloads (new test)
