SMF Error

Im trying to install AJAX for smf but it says:

Access denied for user 'x'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

how are you installing SMF?

usually database user = cpanelusername_DBusername
you probably need to edit the config file and enter the correct database info

make sure you created the database and user in cPanel first.

OK, i got it working BUT its not playing sounds or anything! plz help.

Edit: No settings, logoff, and the theme is white and i cant change it!

Noooo! I installed wrong chatroom...

But on i install correct it says: Fatal error: require() [function.reguire]: Failed opening required '/home/x/public_html/x/chat/../global.php' (include_path='.:/usr/local/php53/pear') in /x/x/public_html/smf/chat/x/custom.php on line 16

OK, All is correct i checked its now SMF:s AJAX but its now giving that:

Query: SELECT userID, userName, userRole, channel, UNIX_TIMESTAMP(dateTime) AS timeStamp, ip FROM x_x.ajax_chat_online ORDER BY userName; Error-Report: Table 'x_x.ajax_chat_online' doesn't exist Error-Code: 1146

i had the fortune to set up a SMF system and it's a puzzling thing at first

for ALL (unless told not to) install ALL packages (mods) via the admin section in SMF

if your doing this already then remember the old packages might not work and you will have to look for up to date ones for the version of SMF that your using.

it would help with links to your website and the link where you got the AJAX from then we can look at it for more info on how to fix it for you.

i'm thinking that the AJAX that your trying to install is out of date and thats why your coming across the errors, or that you have not installed it properly within SMF
