SMF Forum doesnt send email

Well we have installed SMF version 1.1.7 in our account. The url is http://forum.guffshup.com. Everytime user register, they dont get activation email neither in junk or spam folder nor in inbox. I have tried hotmail, yahoo and my domain email as a webmaster in smf admin, with no success.

What is the problem and how do i fix it? Please help us this is diverting our member from our site.

Look in your main cPanel email account. Do the emails bounce back?
Also look in the cPanel error log for any blacklisted function.

Thanks for the prompt reply, i dont see any error relating to email in cpanel error logs..neither my mails are bounced back to my yahoo, hotmail or my domain email. But when i went through cpanel>email accounts...i saw following error.

Fatal! Write Failure: /etc/valiases/forum.guffshup.com. Ignore any messages of success this can only result in failure!

OKay my mails are now bounced back. I think something is wrong. I have set senders email is info@guffshup.com , but it is bounced back to sabin@guffshup.com. I m using intermediate version of PHP in my server.
