I downloaded ws_ftp and it says I am connected to ns2.x10hosting.com. The folder I am connected to is just '/'. I typed in /public_html and tried uploading as well. I get a socket error either way...what am I doing wrong? Also - I purchsed my 2 site addresses through godaddy.com and if I navigate to them it is a holding page by godaddy. Once i have uploaded how do I get their default page to go away and the stuff I uploaded to be there?

getting closer....

I've just checked and your main domain is not pointing to x10hosting.
To be able to use it you need to point the domain DNS to x10hosting nameservers (this can be done at your domain registrar Control Panel):
ns1.x10hosting.com
ns2.x10hosting.com

It may take 24-48hs for DNS to propagate/update after this changes. After this you'll be able to use your domain with x10hosting.
You can meanwhile access your cPanel by: http://67.228.161.42:2082/, and to FTP by using as Host: 67.228.161.42

Thank you for the info - so by saying "your main domain is not pointing to x10hosting." You mean that I need to contact godaddy.com to point the domain DNS to x10hosting nameservers ns1.x10hosting.com or
ns2.x10hosting.com.

Until everything is pointing correctly I can go ahead and upload by pointing Ws_ftp to Host: 67.228.161.42 and shouldn't get a socket error?

Thanks....

You should be able to change your domain DNS at your domain control panel, if you can't find that option contact GoDaddy support.

Yes, after DNS is pointing to x10hosting you'll be able to access your account, and also cPanel and FTP.
