Something is wrong. I do not know what.

When I backed up my site using cPanel the backups are corrupt.
When I put all my files in an archive and download them it sends them corrupt.
When I download an individual file it sends it fine.

When you say download do you mean the package you downloaded?

Alex, how did you download the file and how have you tried to upload it - its possible that the file you have locally is ok, but on upload you didnt transmit it in binary

I can't check on the server because I get the error:

FileOp Failure on: /home/alexmac/backup.tar.gz: Disk quota exceeded

I click on the file in cPanel and click "download" or I go into backup manager and click backup -> home directory -> home directory.

That means your going over your space usage, aka file system quota.
