I'm getting spam email on an email account that I've already deleted. This is one of the emails I'm getting:

From: Rado Replica [rado.replica@astrosfan.net]
To: admin@.............

This email address doesn't exist anymore, but when I download from another address I still get emails addressed to admin@. How is this possible?? This can only be done if someone has access to the email server and knows the other address to link it to. An inside job maybe????

May be you set the default address to it. So if any email arrives to the mail id which doesn't exists then it goes to it.

Check the default address in your cpanel.

It's also possible that it's a forged To: header or something similar, where it's sending to realemail@site.net but it shows admin@site.net as the address instead.

If it's that, there's not much left to do other than set up a filter to instantly trash anything with that for the to-address or set up a spam filter.

Ok. How do I set up a spam filter in Squirrel Mail?

Not sure if you can actually, I usually just use Thunderbird's built in filter (standalone mail client, not one of the webmail solutions)
