Hi

I have a bot or something spamming one of my articles with ads... What can I do about it? I changed the url so it stopped, but I can't change it back without it posting continuously... from different ips... I had 90 posts with medicine commercials!!!!

I don't have any injection protection on my comments functions yet... haven't had the time to develop it. Any advice?

Thank you!

Are you using a CMS? Most have anti-spam modules.

1. CAPTCHA - simple image creation, have them enter the "code". Keep the image easy to read

2. Add another text field to the form. Give it a name "subject" etc. Hide it with CSS (not with 'hidden' tag). Bots will fill out the field, humans cannot see it. Have your program reject submissions with the field filled out.

Thanks a lot... I will apply the extra field solution and eventually capcha. I have changed back the url now and it didn't stop.

It is my own cms. I haven't had time to make it too advanced!

So I need something urgent and this will do, as I would like to keep my posted links with the url unchanged! =)
