my first comp prolly PWNT ur first 1's

Processor: Genuine Intel Pentium 4, 2.4 GHZ
80 GB hard drive
512 MB Ram+ another 256 MB ram
15 inch LCD monitor
Sound Blaster 2 integrated tech
integrated Intel "Extreme" graphics 64MB Shared Memory
DVD-RW drive
CD-RW drive
cool light up shell
pretty slick lookin mouse and keyboard(included)
sadly, only has PCI expansion slots, no AGP or PCIe
pretty awsome speakers(which i never use cuz i use headphones)

and incase ur wondering:
my Dream comp would have:
dual AMD processor sockets so i could have 2 AMD 64 FX Processors 2 GHZ each
Mother Board That can use 2 GFX cards at once. GFX cards would be The ATI All-in-wonder 3800 XT. and the NVidia GeForce FX 6800
Light-up Heat Sensitive, large fan, LED fans, and a coolant system.(my comp would never get too hot)
PCI Broadband Modem, 4 Megahert speed.(that would be as fast as like 4 megabytes per second on some sites, am i right?)

Sound Blaster Pro 2, with Dolby Digital surround sound
2x 2GB rams makin 4 GB's in all!
2 AGP 16x speed slots, 2 PCIe slots, 4 PCI slots.
cool light up shell and light up keyboard, speakers, and mouse to go with it.
700 watt power supply.

ummm i had my first computer in 2001

it was a compaq presario.and it broke down last year.but got it fixed up and gave it to my sis.

it had:
800 MHZ pentium 3
128 mb sdram
40 gb hd
11 mb video memory on board
via motherboard
250 watt power supply
crappy.but better than some on here!

i have had 2 computers.

my new one (now) is a semi-gaming-do-everything-on-it-rig

AMD Athlon 64 3000+ 1.88 GHz ( comparable to P4 3.06 GHz) 512kb L2 cache, and 2000 MHZ FSB

200 GB 7200 RPM Serial ATA HDD ( 182 GB formatted) 2 MB cache....sad.gif

512 DDR SDRAM 400 MHz (PC 3200) DUAL channel 256 x 2 = 512

schwicon 8-in-1 memory card reader, 7 USB slots 1 LAN port ( ethernet), conexant V.92 modem....speedstream 5100 ADSL modem, 1 firewire.

ATI radeon xpress 200 GFX 128 MB shared video memory PCI-e (128 MB of my 512 ram is shared with it, making my acuall ram 384 MB.) soon upgraing for $80-120 to an X600

DVD+/- RW burner, reader drive 16x.

right now only stereo speakers, but i think ill pgrade those to 5.1 sometime if i get a bigger workstation...(The pc is in my room)

I can play upto doom 3's system requirements at the time(i get like 20 FPS and the shading lokks crappy but UT 2004 plays alright at 800x600). I cannot play battlefield 2 wihout the video card upgrade.

and finally a 15 inch TFT LCD monitor 16 ms response time and upto 75 Hz refresh rate. HP PSC 1210 printer, scanner, copier.

PHEW!

and" PCI Broadband Modem, 4 Megahert speed.(that would be as fast as like 4 megabytes per second on some sites, am i right?)"
NO u mean 4 megabit connection? that would be like 450 KB/s connection maximum, if you're lucky....check. i have a 3.0 megabit max. connection. i get 2.30 usually though...sooo i get 230-320 KB/s

My first computer was a Texas Instruments TI-99/4, which I got in 1979, I actually still own it but don't use it. It had no operationg system and to make everything work you types commands to make it work. It later puchased the Speech Synthesizer, which was quite a cool thing back then to have, but required a lot of coding to work. For a picture of the system go to: http://oldcomputers.net/ti994.html

Specs:

Price: US$1,150 with monitor
CPU: TI TMS9900 @ 3MHz
Memory: 16K RAM, 26K ROM
Display: Composite Video
RF modulator for TV display
32 X 24 text
192 X 256, 16 colors
Ports: ROM cartridge (on front)
Data storage cassette
Audio/Video output
Joystick input
CPU bus expansion
Peripherals: Speech Synthesizer
External 5-1/4" floppy drive
Thermal printer
Data storage cassette
RS-232 serial interface
OS: TI BASIC in ROM

I don't know if I've posted here yet or not, but this is a list of all the computers I've owned.

Apple IIe
IBM something
Packard-Bell something
Hewlett-Packard something
Dell Inspiron 9200.

Oddly enough the HP is setting below me as a server and I'm too lazy to look at the model number.

The first computer was a Tandy fromthe 80's but I can't remember the model.
It had a 4MHZ CPU, probably about half a MB of RAM, a 10 - 20 MB HD, 5 1/4 inch floppy drive, 3 1/2 inch floppy drive, and I think a 4 - 8 color video card.

I was about 5 or 6 years old when my grandparents gave it to me.

My second was a 75 MHZ 8 - 16 MB RAM, less than 1 GB HD, Packard Bell that my parents gave me when they upgraded. ( Probably about a year after I got the Tandy. )

List Of Computers I Own(ed)
---------------------------------
4 MHZ Tandy ( Gone )
75 MHZ Packard Bell ( Gone )
300 MHZ Compaq ( Parts Laying Around )
100 MHZ IBM Laptop ( Needs HD Caddy To Work )
400 MHZ No-Name ( Have Most Of It )
400 MHZ IBM Laptop ( Main Laptop )
650 MHZ No-Name ( Main Desktop )
And Others I Can't Remember
