For those who are using Spy Doctor, it was annouced awhile ago (like months ago) that it was a spyware. The only recommended programs that you can trust is Ad-Aware and Spy Bot - Search and Destory.

I've been using AVG for a while now, and it has not got me one virus. I used nortan for a while and I think AVG is way better, plus it's free and everyone likes free ;)

what are you trying to say, are you talking about BlackIce Pc Protection or other types of security component that would help you to decrease the number of spywares???

Based on personal testing and opinion

BlackIce Pc Protection is kinda weird and system hogging, its method and structure is not really on my liking. I would prefer to use ShadowUser which allows you to Trial test for 15 days. It give your system a deep freeze tactics which prevent new files from modifying the old ones and also prevent future damage by Malware which consist of spywares , malicious application , virus worm and so on harmful components. You do not need to have an antivirus and firewall because your system is now on freeze mode giving zero chances of hacker to install remote controller or other stuff.

For eliminating spyware from both of my computers I use Microsoft Antispyware Beta.
Default Windows XP firewall is enough for me to be secure from the outside world.
And if you are interested - I use eTrust EZ Antivirus from Computer Associates. It's free for one year. I have used it for about a month, but nothing wrong happened.

I use AVG and ScanSpyware (It's a very good program) and sometimes even Spybot S&D. But ScanSpyware finds more then spybot.

Usually 1 up to date anti-virus program is enough, wether it be Norton or Mcafee. but if you think 1 or 2 anti-spyware programs are going to stop everything your wrong. I have Spybot search and destroy and Ad aware, after runing these 2 programs I run Microsoft anti-spyware and still find more stuff. So like I said in another post here somewhere " You can never be to safe".

As for spyware, like I always tell my customers, "The only way to stay spyware-free is to practice safe browsing. And get Firefox."
