Please can someone who's done it, give me an idiot's guide to sorting out an SSL certificate on my free hosted site, via Cloudflare.

Thank you in advance.

Disable SSL in your DirectAdmin panel for the domain in question (must not be an .x10.mx or any other x10hosting provided domain)
-> Account Manager -> Domain Setup -> [your domain name] -> Secure SSL -> [uncheck]

Add your domain to Cloudflare
At step 8, make sure the DNS is an A record for 198.91.81.11 (your server is x11.x10hosting.com and this is the IP address of that server)
At step 11, go to your domain registrar and give them the two server names provided (something like alpha.cloudflare.com / beta.cloudflare.com )

DNS propagation can take up to 48 hours in worst case scenarios. Your website will not work correctly or at all until this is done. Some people may see it correctly and some may not (your phone may be OK but your laptop might not work, in example). Just give it time and post back if you have problems. This is the step that most people miss and then get frustrated.
