Hello everyone!

Need your expertise.

1. I host my a free website via x10host.

2. I bought my own domain name - theaastore.ph and added it as parked domain of my free website via x10host.

3. I want to activate Cloudflare Flexible SSL for theaastore.ph but I get no status from my Cloudflare dashboard, here is the image:

https://ibb.co/kLqAse

4. I contacted Cloudflare Support, and told me the certificate is active for "www.theaastore.ph" and not theaastore.ph

5. This is what they told me:

Your DNS setting looks correct so no further configuration is needed on the DNS side.

Please rest assure that the SSL is already active for your domain. The reason why you are not seeing your site is marked as Secure because as I mentioned earlier, www.theaastore.ph is redirected back to theaastore.ph.

To rectify this, please proceed with my suggestion:

1) remove the current redirection (www.theaastore.ph -> theaastore.ph)
2) redirect all traffic from root domain theaastore.ph to www.theaastore.ph

These will need to be done on the origin server. If you are not sure how to do so, please be in touch with your hosting provider for further assistance.

Can you please help me on this? And what other steps I need to consider to make the Cloudflare Flexible SSL working for me?

Thank you!

Regards,

Allen

Hi,

For starters, Cloudflare isn't set-up right.

Using my Firefox "IP Address and Domain Information" plugin, I see your domain is showing "xo5.x10hosting.com" ... when it should be showing the Cloudflare's DNS.

That's an issue at Cloudflare.

Where did you set up the SSL?
We on the free X10 host accounts don't get that.

Thank you for the response buddy!

Steps I did:

1. I have a Cloudflare Account
2. I added theaastore.ph which I bought and set as parked domain for my x10host free website in x10host cPanel.
3. I went to x10host cPanel Cloudflare, and triggered the gray button to orange button for theaastore.ph
4. I went to Cloudflare dashboard and saw the theaastore.ph was active and running on Cloudflare.
5. I went to Crypto Cloudflare dashboard and no SSL Status after more than 72 hours.
6. I posted here with what Cloudflare support told me and the problem happening.

Any thoughts thanks!

How long ago did you active Cloudflare? Over 72 hours?
That should have updated by now.

3. I went to x10host cPanel Cloudflare, and triggered the gray button

?? Cloudflare doesn't work from my X10 cPanel. :(

Until your DNS changes to Cloudflare's, their SSL isn't going to work.

How will my DNS change to Cloudflare if my domain name points to x10host?

Cloudflare supplied you with their DNS.

That information needs to be added at you domain host's DNS records .... not as well .... but INSTEAD of x10's.

https://whois.dot.ph/?utf8=✓&search=theaastore.ph shows:
Updated Date: 2018-08-07T23:59:10 -07:00
...
Name Server: ns1.x10hosting.com
Name Server: ns2.x10hosting.com

https://www.theaastore.ph/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/SHARE-THE-LOVE-ADS-2-300x300.jpg works for me.
https://theaastore.ph/wp-content/uploads/2018/06/SHARE-THE-LOVE-ADS-2-300x300.jpg does not.

Dig for theaastore.ph shows A record 198.91.81.6 (x10)
Dig for wwwtheaastore.ph shows CNAME www.theaastore.ph.cdn.cloudflare.net (Cloudflare)

You'll need to change your WordPress URL to https://www.theaastore.ph

To take full advantage of Cloudflare I would recommend using their nameservers or are you trying to do this https://support.cloudflare.com/hc/en-us/articles/200168706-How-do-I-do-CNAME-setup- ?
