Ssl error

I was told I should post my issue here, as I had a posted in the wrong forum not intentional. Having an SSL certificate there. Myself and my friend cannot get on it with any browser or from android. Yet when I use a proxy and I just recently found out somebody else here can access the site, this is become a quandary.
When we try to access it we get a SSL certificate error. The x10 hosting site works fine however my domain one seems to have an issue.

appgetmgr.com seems to fail all the time


Thanks for anybody that can clear this up. I did clean out the cache on both the browsers but it didn't seem to make a difference

Get the site to come up but from what it sounds like it's a local issue. Me and a friend of mine have been watching it since I moved it over to x10, she lives in one state and I live in another state and both of us have the same air, it's just a white page saying SSL certificate error. Both are using Firefox so now I'm starting to wonder if this is a browser issue. I did clean the cache out but it still doesn't come up so I switched over to Chrome and I still have the same issue. Then I loaded up my phone and again same issue or on the phone it just says cannot go to the page or says it's insecure because of a certificate issue. And my phone is also Firefox

The x10 free domain "appgetmgr.x10.mx" is set up correctly and working with no SSL errors.

as indicated by @ctyrd your .com domain is not properly set up.
your .com domain is set as a forward from the .com to x10.mx domain
normally the .com name would show if you click the .com domain name.
not the x10.mx domain name,

my suggestion is to sort out the .com domain name to work properly first.
then setup your SSL again and go from there.

note any DNS editing/changing will require a domain propagation period.
this can take anywhere from 1 to 72+ hours to complete propagation.
so its best to limit the editing/changing as much as posible.

on my domain side i have it set at:

Record Type: URL Redirect
Address: http://www.appgetmgr.x10.mx

Should I be using a cname? I do not have a host package, so cannot use a cpanel to redirect.. I can only work with domains (not exluding nameservers)

DNS Hosting is included for FREE with all domains registered through Enom. If you use their dns manager, Cname is used. You should add the A, MX and SPF records, and x10 free SSL manager certification also.

It is better to have the domain with its own public_html directory, Pointing the domain to the free domain you will loose some features. You can point the domain in DirectAdmin Hosting panel located here: https://appgetmgr.x10.mx:2222/

Thank you very much for your information. Right now it's all messed up, I am attempting to talk to my domain owner which is a2 hosting, and see what we can do to fix that up to get it going in the right direction. Good insight on the its own public HTML folder. I did forget about that I might have to move mine over to accommodate the site. That might be another issue. I post back here if I find something out that's actually successful. Thanks again for all your guys's good suggestions. This is one aspect of hosting and domains that I am definitely green on

If your domain is with A2 hosting you may only be able to change the name servers. Unless A2 hosting has a dns manager.

Yes they have a complete DNS manager. I've tried wide variety of methods from cname, the a record, and the URL redirects with or without masks. They seem to have failed. So I sent them an email to see if there's something on there and I'm messing up.
The you are all the direct works perfect sending it back to my home server but I rather have it in the next 10. So I don't know why there's such a difference. I used the exact same change the a name and URL redirect and send it to my home. And that work. So I just substitute of the x10 link and it did work. Thanks for the very fast response.

If you change DNS records it can take 72 hours to propagate.

These are the records you will need:

appgetmgr.com - CNAME - x12.x10hosting.com
appgetmgr.com - A - 198.91.81.12
www - A - 198.91.81.12
mail - A - 198.91.81.12
appgetmgr.com - MX - mail.appgetmgr.com
appgetmgr.com - TXT - "v=spf1 a mx ip4:198.91.81.12 ip4:198.91.80.251 ~all"

You would also have to add the domain name to the x10 free service. When you add the domain it will create its own public_html directory. Do that at the link below.

Thank you very much. I had almost all of those correct except for the last three. I'll have to add those and see what happens. A2 is usually lightning fast. But I think this time I'll wait till Monday to see how it goes. But with a2 usually within an hour or two everything's done. I'll try those settings and we'll see how it goes thanks again

OK seems to be working - the one thing I did not do was add the domain. now need to get the new SSL cert working

It really depends on the TTL. Plus icann registry TTL. Your local dns resolver cache, and the world refresh. https://who.is/ is a good place to get an idea for propagation.

It may seem like A2 and your local have propagated, every server is actually refresh at different TTL. 24-72 hrs for world hard propagation. Clearing local cache/history and restarting local ISP network can help. Looking up "flush dns resolver cache" can tell you more about dns propagation.

Ya I'll go back to it monday. As far as ENOM account not that I know of. This used to be up for a few years, but had to cut back some expenses, so dropped most of the hosts, and either used my home server or here at X10, Never had an issue until I tried the X10. Normally I just put it on URL REDIRECT and in about an hour all is good.

Good morning all (or afternoon/evening as the case may be). I did a lot of work on the reroute, will explain that later, so Now the domain forwards correctly to x10, now the original issue is still there with the SSL. when using my android it gives me a better picture. just says that cloudflare is not compatible (Handshake error). When using a browser on my pc, just gives me the Warning: Potential Security Risk Ahead.

ok got it figured out. for some reason the whole directory got deleted.... check back later. once it all works ill post the steps I took to fix and what I think happened in hopes it will help someone else with a similar issue.

It is not x10 free SSL that is complicated.

I was able to resolve the display issue with my website on my browser. I made the necessary changes to the CSS and SQL, and the frontend updates were immediately reflected without any caching issues. X10 was used to facilitate the updates.

Still having issues with my phone firefox displaying the site. might be a cache issue. Will deal with that later


X10's domain forwarding process presented more complexity than expected, again, for myself. Typically, when forwarding a domain, I utilize a URL redirect, regardless of the domain provider, and avoid dealing with nameservers. Then, I simply add SSL to the host. However, this approach did not work for X10, and I am uncertain why.
Yesterday, I utilized a cloud service to route the domain (using a redirect rule), which resolved the redirect issue, at least on my end (including when accessing the domain from a work computer to rule out any potential cache issues from home).
