Hi guys,
I've got a bit of a problem, and I spose I am just looking for a bit of reassurance.
My website is www.tamingit.com
I'm currently using another free hosting service, which has been nice and stable ever since I first registered about a year ago. However, it is not without it's drawbacks - no server-side scripting, no SQL, and no DNS modification (the page is viewed via a framed forward from my domain registrar/host).
To get around these issues I thought I should look for a new host, and got to X10. It had lots of good reviews, and does everything I need and more. So I've moved a development site across, and have been investigating the wonderful features on offer.
My issue is basically the same as DarknessRising's -
http://forums.x10hosting.com/feedback-suggestions/46813-improve-speed-stability.html
I have been finding that it is very hit-or-miss whether I get a response from the server, both when viewing the pages, and when navigating the cPanel side. I have also been doing a bit of monitoring -
http://forums.x10hosting.com/free-hosting/13706-x10hosting-services-up-down.html
refreshing every few minutes etc, but this has only confirmed my doubts about the server stability.
I am still learning SQL, and have not yet set up a SQL DB with X10, but I fear this will only increase the scope of my stability issues.
Any thoughts, advice, reassurance, etc would be greatly appreciated.
TIA
Davii
