Hi,

Just like pretty much any game Blizzard has been making I'm much looking forward to this game!

Besides Blizzard going a bit out of their mind with the special effects probably I bet this game is going to be awesome:drool:

Have a look at http://www.starcraft2.com

And of course let's gather up all players from x10 when it comes out (the Battle.net gaming experience is still the best out there imo) !

I'd like it more if it was first-person! But, the website looks nice, especially the way they've made it look as though there's a window at the bottom.

It's awesome because Starcraft is the best RTS of all time.

Looking a lot better than the original Starcraft. I sure hope that they have some of the same cheats that they had in the first game because those were fun to mess with when I beat the game.

Otherwise, graphics, loads better. At least this shouldn't be running at 256 color mode at 800x600 anymore :p.

i wanna download starcraft, any idea where???

Via sites we cannot mention here without being perma-banned from x10 hosting.

Don't be stupid and go download it either; Blizzard is still watching most of the torrents.

For $20 you can afford to go and buy both it and its expansion; damn good buy for the game. Show some support for the company -_-'

@Smith6612: With good reason too; Starcraft's, what...9, 10 years old now? Graphics have come a LONG way since then :)

I've been looking forward to this game since it was announced at the start of last year, and I've been following their website since its existance. The old Starcraft is still my favourite RTS, and even with it's low graphics it stays a strong competititor in other areas of the game.

I agree though, the graphics looks excellent, and the gameplay moreso.

My favourite team, the Protoss, is even cooler.

And three large things will make this game the best RTS of all time.

- No more 12-unit limit. Now Zerg players can select all three-hundred of their Zerglings and issue an attack order.
- No more SCV's being blown to pieces with Zealots, while the CC floats in the air. It can now carry the SCV's!
- And lastly, no more 2d graphics. We'll be able to play this game in 3D graphics that is so much better than that used in WC.

Blizzard makes quality games. (Take Diablo or WC as more examples), and I believe this game will be one word : Awesome.

PS : SC is cheap even in my country, so it's really not so bad to buy it. It's popularity still has it being sold as Besteller Series games, and that 9 years(give or take) after it's release. Not bad for a 256 color, 800x600 game, huh?

Anyone see the E3 trailer for Halo Wars? For an RTS it's graphics look much better than that of Starcraft II.

Firstly, that's quite a dumb thing to say in a SC thread. Secondly, I disagree. And besides. Graphics is not everything. I am sure SC's gameplay and unique system will probably be better than anything coming from Halo.

Please tell me you didn't just compare the two.

Please.

Cause although RA2 came out 2 years after SC, its system requirements, compared to what SC needs, are...Well a bit heavy.

Starcraft System Requirements said:
Windows 95 or better
90 MHz Pentium
16 MB RAM
DirectX-compatible
2x CD-ROM drive
640x480 8-bit display
Red Alert 2 System Requirements said:
Windows 95/98/2000/NT, 266 MHz Pentium II Processor, 64 MB RAM (450 MHz processor and 128 MB RAM needed for 3-8 player multiplayer game), 4x CD-ROM, 2 MB video card,
DirectSound-compatible soundcard

Yeah yeah I know, thats nothing to todays pc's, but given the time-frame and the system requirements, it's safe to say RA2 looked a bit better because it required more to run it.

Besides both the PSP missing the 640x480 display they could both run SC for god sakes. PSOne is short 8mb ram but it could do it with some modifying.

Plus RA2 has a fairly large amount of hassles to get it to run on XP (dunno about Vista, but I haven't exactly looked for that OS either) - some users have no hassles at all, others are practically doing illegal things to get it to run and failing (I myself tried 4 separate ISO downloads to make absolutely sure I wasn't having problems because of a damaged install disc).

SC on the other hand is sitting on drive E, waiting for my Civ4 craze to die down enough to load that back up. Pretty sure my bottle of Coke is sitting on top of the blue disc for RA2 since I can't find a use for it anymore.

Edit: Oh, and I do like FPS's and strategies more, hence my love for Civ4 and UT2004. But SC'll always have a place in my heart for being one of the first games I managed to install on my parents pc and actually play without having too much troubles winning :)
