Still Having Database Issues

Ive tried changing my cpanel password and made sure my databases points to localhost. still no results. im still getting the same database error. the server is in cossacks by the way.

Whats the MySQL Host you have put? Localhost or mysql.x10hosting.com ?
Please give us the full error message to probe the issue.

Hate to burst your bubble on that last part kajas, but this is the whole error message:

Error establishing a database connection



Beyond that, short of seeing all the files and sifting through the configuration ones I don't honestly know the issue. Maybe the database is there but has no users, maybe the users permissions got cleared out by accident, I dunno. Whatevers throwing that error really does a bad job explaining what part went wrong >_<

Oh!.. I'm asking the error message returned, not the message printed upon a functional failure.

OK. Now,

- Check whether you have your MySQL Host as "localhost".
- Check whether you have your databases / tables.
- Check whether your MySQL User is added to the database with necessary permissions.

What type of website do you have running(ie wordpress,joomla, etc) With this we can explain how to make sure you are connecting to the database the proper way.

Try deleting your sql user then add a new user with the same info as the one you deleted i.e. username and password. I did that with my drupal website and it worked.
