hello there,
I have made a site with html that works locally on my machine, It can also be viewed when using HTML editor in file manager but I cant load the page from the address bar.

The file is uploaded to public_html folder and is the only file there and is saved as index.html
Can anybody poiny me in the right direction?

p.s.- I have made it so my personal domain name points to x10 nameservers and made an addon domain in cpanel, is there a way to make it so my personal domain shows in the adress bar not username.x10hosting.com?

Cheers guys

Hi, Yea it lands on a 404 error site. I have changed my nameservers to X10 servers, but when i search on WHOIS it lists my nameservers as bigdaddys again?
I had it briefly working with a test template but the public foldergot messy and as I am new to this I wanted to start with a much simpler template.
So I deleted the Public_html folder and made a new one named the same thing. I then uploaded my html file into a folder "site" within the public folder
cheers for the help

It may take up to 48 hours for DNS to fully propagate.

If you visit your URL, you can see what your website viewers can see.

It seems like there isn't an index.html page in your public_html directory. Remember that all characters in the name of the public_html folder should be lower case.

Hmm... I didn't notice that.

I just did a thorough review of the website and it doesn't seem like there are any links to torrents or other files that could allow someone to illegally acquire Windows 7.

However, the instant a hint of pirated software appears on your site, I'll be more than happy to get your website suspended.

Hi thanks, am I allowed to link to torrent software? I hate MS as much as you and just trying to help other students out!

You hate Microsoft as much as me? Interesting, I don't hate Microsoft at all.

I don't really care if you're trying to help students. What I care about is if x10Hosting gets sued by Microsoft for hosting illegal content on our servers.

I don't see anything wrong about torrenting software itself, but don't take my word for it - a different staff member may think otherwise.

cheers for the quick reply! I plan to link to torrent software and search engines but no individual torrents as I dont want to get sued myself!
