Subdomain Issue with Addon Domain

I added an addon domain to my hosting successfully, changed the DNS etc. The site "xyz.com" is working fine. I tried adding a subdomain like "abc.xyz.com" but it's not working at all. I tried many options for days now, even put proper index.html files in the created respective FTP directories . Any idea how to solve this ?

Your account currently does not have any associated sub-domains or addon domains. Could you try removing the sub-domain and addon domain and then adding them again?

Also, you should not need to change any DNS manually. For domains to work with Cpanel, you must use the CPanel Addon or Sub-Domain tools and not the DNS Zone Edtior. If you have changed your DNS manually, I would recommend resetting your DNS zone file from the advanced DNS editor tool in CPanel.
