say i want to add two subdomains to my main doamin CYK Stuidios which would be:

= news.cykstudios.net
= forums.cykstudios.net

for obvious reasons you know why i want to make them, but since i already have a phpBB based forum system and PHPMyAdmin database working and running already on the cykstudios.net main domain; how can i "drag and drop" or transfer all the stuff that has to do with my forums into the forums subdomain?

I ask the same question again for the news subdomain as well...

Your FTP client should let you select all of the contents and drag it into the subdomain folder. Alternatively, you could set the directory of the subdomain to the existing folder.

What FTP client do you use?

I use to use dreamweaver cs3's FTP system but I had problems with it so I am in the middle of upgrading to cs4 right now. Currently I'm using filezilla.

Also wouldn't some of the code get unlinked or broken from the database if I just drop all of the files into the new subdomain folder?

The forums wouldn't, I don't know how your news is setup so I can't answer that.

What software are you using for news?

When I say news I mean my rss news feed. Instead of using http://www.cykstudios.net/rss/news.XML I would like to put the feed under news.cykstudios.net/rss. Or something along those lines.

I construct my own XML rss files with dreamweaver. all I use when it come to website editing is the entire adobe master collection...

If you have software that will handle news better please don't hold out...
