I just changed from using my domain name as a redirect to actually using it properly, with nameservers and such. When I changed the nameservers in the godaddy control panel, it removed all my subdomains, which is fair enough. I tried to create a new one for my t-shirt store, which should route traffic from xerxes.clan-ncw.com to printfection.com/xerxes and it just isn't working, I get a 404 ("Firefox can't find the server at xerxes.clan-ncw.com."). Does anyone have any ideas, do I have to specify subdomains with x10 now that I am using their name servers? I am very confused... :(

I think you have to wait for the DNS to resolve before you may be able to view your site, this can take up to 24-72 hours sometimes you get lucky and it's faster though.

Thanks for the response, Jaryyd.

The rest of the site is working perfectly, just the subdomain which is not working. Does the DNS update incrementally, so that the entire site can work but the subdomain does not? It has been at least 72 hrs since I updated the DNS, so :(

I'll try making a new subdomain and see how it goes.

Yes, You have to setup the sub-domain & re-direct in your cPanel. Then, it should be working.

Yeah, do what kajasweb said, and sometimes yes, your main domain can be working, but subdomains may take some time to propagate with the DNS servers..hopefully all goes well for you.
