[Suggestion] Languages

Hi,

I have a suggestion: why not allow other languages but insist on having an english page? (I'm not saying have only one english page as a cover-up but for each page in a foregin language have an english page corresponding)?

This would give more people the access to what seems a great service, this is what is keeping me from registering as I'm concerned my work will be gone due to the language.

We allow that. If you have a language in some other language we require that you have an exact translation of it in English.

Seems to me that allowing other-language pages, with something that claims to be a translation, opens the door to, shall we say, mistranslations. Someone could put up a page full of porn stories, and claim that it translates to this nice innocent letter home to mommy.

Maybe if you send the page thru babelfish, and see if it comes back with at least the same general subject as the poster claims....

Well it would be a great feature. I need a Joomla page for my school on serbian, and if its needed ill make it with translations under :happysad:
But is it allowed to add translator module to site, so others can manually translate text, and be sure what it is all about, but on my site, it would be only school informations :dunno:
Anyway ill do the translations, but if babelfish would be allowed (for example a ad with babelfish link) that could be good!
But if translations would be in bad English don't blame me I'm 13 years old :happysad:
