I got this message today while trying out this forum I saw today about quick downloads. It was odd because it said I had to upload the client to a webserver. So I tried it with x10hosting. I can understand now why it would be illegal, because it probably uses up a lot of traffic. I apologize, and it was sincerely an accident. I've been working furiously lately on my other projects which I use x10hosting for and would never try and do something against it's rules to jeopardize my account with this great unique hosting site. Please reconsider the suspension, and of course I won't hesitate to delete all the rapidleech files. You guys can even delete them if you want.
Thanks for the time!

It took you less than 5 days to violate the terms of service that even flat out says we strictly prohibit scripts such as rapidleech and torrentflux.

This is a permanent suspension, you cannot be unsuspended or permitted further access to your hosting account of any kind for any reason.

After researching more, I'm sadly not surprised at all of your answer Livewire. I'm new to coding and webhosting and all that, but in all honesty I didn't even know what a script was exactly. But I know for sure that I didn't run any, and that I wasn't planning on downloading anything to the file server with it anyway! I thought it was the same build as how you install phpbb and it relays all the information into your local mysql server and back, never downloading anything extra. Furthermore, I initially stumbled upon this stupid Rabid Leech program from google looking for a fast way to upload and distribute my custom video project of mine that would go on the main website downloadable and hosted from MY COMPUTER through Mysql. I had no idea that it was against the rules here Livewire.

But alas, the too-late research and quick script-like response even from you makes me think you probably get this all the time, so I don't blame you Livewire that, even though you may partially agree with me on this one, that it was an honest mistake. It would look bad to give just one person a chance instead of likely hundreds of other offenders. I'm not some jerk on the net tho, I have honest intent Livewire! In the hopes that I can alleviate your guilt on having to be so blunt in punishment, I give to you, your own terms of service! In reviewing this, you may find it easier to see where exactly I was coming from Livewire. I won't quote from it, because you probably know it by heart, and I know you'll take it literally word for word.

With that in mind, I was NOT file storing, no script was ran, and the original intent was to promote a video (which was streaming on my x10hosting site from vimeo) for my own local game server, which people could download. If you look at their homepage you can see how i was easy fooled into thinking that it would make a faster transfer for the video download from my home PC to others on the net.

Sorry for the rant Livewire, but as the old Zero Tolerance saying goes, "might as well be hanged for a sheep as a lamb" (until 1820, the English law prescribed hanging for stealing anything worth more than one shilling, whether that was a low-value lamb or a whole flock of sheep). Personally Livewire, I don't think I was a stealing even a lamb.

:edit: As further defense for my case, I present a link and screenshot (in case u need to be a member on their site to see memberlist links) of me joining RapidLeech only 2 hours ago. Proving that I had no intent to do any of this at any point, aside from an extremely recent whim that was baised on completely false pretenses.

:edit2:
Since this is really my only time to shine, I'll urge any moderator or admin here, (but especially you LiveWire:)(tasty drink btw)) one more time, to rewind, and sincerely and objectively test my cases weight as one of innocence, and misunderstanding, not second chances.

All I get out of that is that you're not amused it's a permanent suspension. That's a pity, cause it IS in the terms of service you agreed to.

Worse in this case than most is that this one is mentioned by name. It's not a generic nulled script, its explicitly mentioned by name.

You'll also find it's our CEO who first put in the Zero Tolerance policy. The reasoning was simple - we used to give second chances. Almost no one made use of them, and we wasted our time having to go back and check that the bad stuff was gone after 24 hours. So, we choose not to bother anymore, and I fully agree with this decision.

You read the TOS and marked the box that said you did and would abide by it, then you uploaded a script that very same TOS flat out said wasn't allowed. As such, we suspended your account - very logical progression. It's a permanent suspension as I've already stated.

That's all ok Limewire, because I understand it's a tough job being the "suspendinator" 8), and someone's gotta do it. Believe it or not I'm actually grateful I got to chit chat with you for a bit Bill. I too am behind a keyboard, and only rarely do I get the fire to engage in discussion so intensely. It's too bad I won't be around to wish you a happy 25th birthday when it comes up. It should be fulfilling for a guy who has self proclaimed himself "Defender of the innocent". It's a shame you didn't see this thread for what it was. Behind the urgency of a permanent ban, and thinking I had one post to defend my folly, it truly was just that Bill, a multiple misunderstanding. Had I clicked to open the Terms of Service instead of just checking the box and pressing register, there's a small chance that 5 days later I would have remembered those ominous names "TorrentZilla" and "RapidLeech", instead of wasting the 5minutes registering on the random site result off of google, thinking it was like a phpbb interface. It was obviously not my intent if you look at what is on the account's webspace. I did not make the mistake 99% of those who violated this policy made. Aside from indirectly overlooking an important rule I surely would have obeyed, my intentions were completely within the guidelines of the Terms of Service. Am I really to fall under the same noose as those who rightfully deserve to be treated as examples?
If anything I thank you for amusing me Bill in keeping the thread open for at least a friendly discussion. I know you don't have the power to reverse the suspension, and you're just doing your job. I was just told to come here if I was wrongfully accused. In your 3 months of moderating, and however long this policy has been in effect, have you ever actually reversed someone's suspension Bill? Assuredly I came to this forum preparing "to be judged", but that implies a fair examination of facts with an even chance of being guilty or innocent. Maybe the CEO can help resolve this scenario Bill? I do believe he may see some potential in me staying here. It's a good thing I have you on my side Bill, if you truly are the one who "defends the innocent".

I see potential. Unsuspended! Remove the things that violate out Terms of Service as soon as you have an opportunity, please.
