Suspension reversal error - delete account neccessary?

I understand that the window for reversing suspension of accounts has passed, unfortunately I have been indisposed this last month and unable to prevent the inactivity suspension from applying.

Is the cleanest and easiest way to circumvent this situation to simply delete my current free hosting account and setup a new one? I am not worried about content in the slightest as nothing I had hosted was irreplaceable.
