In this thread: https://community.x10hosting.com/threads/unlimited-hosting-request.191754/#post-920614

My account's suspension was reasonable. Looking at my ticket, I understand that I should not have uploaded the videos. But I have a second project on my site that I would like to download. If you could please allow me to get that one folder, I would appreciate it as that is the only copy of it that I have.

I have been working very hard on this.

Thank you.

Have you read the Terms of Service you agreed to when signing up?

8. Suspensions
If an account is suspended for a breach of the Terms outlined above the account holder will immediately forfeit all rights to the account in question including access to any and all files and\or databases located within the account. x10Hosting is under no obligation to provide backups in full or partial to an account holder that has been suspended.

Let me see if I understand...

you read the TOS at http://www.x10hosting.com/terms - then violated them because you "...thought testing something out might not hurt anyone or me" was within the TOS

is that not like saying "I was only testing the gun when I killed someone to see if the gun worked"

I took the time, on your original post, to explain to you how copyright actually works, and what sort of license you would need to have -- long before it became a problem. You then took it upon yourself to decide that you would upload the files anyway, using a logic that is exactly equivalent to "a car that doesn't have a big 'don't steal me' sign on it is obviously up for grabs'". (It appears, as well, that these "cars" did have a big sign on them -- that's what the "all rights reserved" that Livewire noted is.) And the fact that you didn't have a local clone of the repository is just version management 101.

Closing ticket, user banned for language and ragequit after being caught with copyright infringing files on their account.
