After three days of waiting, my account finally went through. I immediately set up an FTP, plugged it into Dreamweaver, and got to work. I put the URL I was given in my email in my browser, and I was told the domain doesnt exist, that I can sign up for it by clicking some link.

I sent this message to my friend who suggested I use this service. It tells her that "this account has just been created, and you can now modify it by going to the control panel".

Not only are we getting two separate answers for the SAME link, it's not showing any of the work Dreamweaver told me it was doing. This is INCREDIBLY frustrating, and I need some answers. I've had nothing but problems with this hosting site.

1. If you went to the URL before it was set up, you would have gotten the "this domain does not exist" page. And now your browser or ISP could be caching that page and serving it up instead of going out and getting the new content. Clear your browser cache and history. That is not a problem with x10hosting. It is a standard problem throughout the Web.

2. Do you have your own index.html in public_html ? And Index.html is not the same as index.html

Well, that solves one problem. But for some reason, I don't have a "public_html" folder to put index.html in :shifty:

Are you are using your cpanel username/password for FTP or a different account that you set up in cpanel? If you are using an account you created, it might already be in public_html by default
