I am always on the move and I am a one-gadget-does-all dude. I do not want to carry a mobile phone, mp3 player, dvd player, portable game console etc. So, recently I stumbled upon a free service with a PUSH EMAIL service.

You get your emails sent directly to your mobile phone like sms. You will need to have a data plan of sorts since this will eat up your account balance.

http://www.emoze.com/

The push email software is compatible with a number of modern phone models.

Time to Travel

If you are an ardent traveler then you know that sometimes it is difficult to pick the right destination. If you are out for adventure and have a little resources, your next stop would be any place that you find fascinating. You would also want to get a guide on which places to see once at the destination and or what to carry with you or expect to encounter. I have used this site to pick a destination for my vacations for the past 2 years and so far, I'm loving it.

I think wikipedia is best.It reflects the right to information.Information can be submitted by anybody and is available to everybody. Most important thing is that it is running by a non profit organigathon.

http://www.engrish.com/

This is a hilarious collection of banners, road signs, t-shirts, commercials e.t.c on real streets, television, businesses around the world where the English language was battered to extremes.

It gives me a laugh every once in a while when I visit this site.

Enjoy

FoodGawker: The subtitle is "feast your eyes" and you do indeed feast your eyes. There's so many mouth-watering looking foods posted there. Each includes a recipe so you can make it on your own.

BrokeAss Gourmet: The title sums it up pretty well. This website has loads of recipes on yummy food that anyone can make for just a little amount of money.

Stereomood: Online playlists grouped by mood. This is an amazing resource for finding new music to listen to. It's also great to use as background noise.

BodyMods@LJ: This site has a vast amount of information about body modification. Everything from earlobe piercing to scalpelling to tattoos. Most of it is "friends-only," but you just have to join using a LiveJournal account.

And of course, StumbleUpon! I love their toolbar so much. It's so addictive. You click "Stumble" and it will display a webpage that is relivant to your interests that you selected. From there you can either click "I like it," "thumbs down," or "stumble." You can also browse by other topics, by other Stumbler's favorites, etc. It's pretty nifty.

I am going to redo my answer as i did it along time ago when i did not fully read the rules :frown: . In my opinion, x10hosting forums and youtube are the two websites i probably spend the most time on. X10hosting forums are great because its a nice community (making you feel more special by the word) and how by answering questions you are not only helping people but promoting your website as well. Youtube is great because you are able to see videos on anything you would ever want to see. Its always there, and if its now, it will be there in the next couple of days

Matt,

Mine is muchosucko.com, various ways you can kill time
Try not to write one liner post in crossfire.

This is my first crossfire post so wish me luck?

The best site I have ever surfed is http://humour.200ok.com.au/ - It is just the funniest, most insulting website I have ever seen. When I have nothing to do, I usually just find something funny on there (not very hard) and laugh uncontrollably for half an hour.

Always loved surfing around http://theoatmeal.com/ - amusing and interesting site. Plus the comic and graphics that come with it would really get your attention. Could give you something to learn too, on the side.

I agree too.In wikipedia information is not 100% correct and it is often misused. The best site I ever surfed was about.com.I love the articles present there.

My favorite website supports copyright infringement. -.-

My favorite site that is legal would have to be Wikipedia. I know that it's not new or exciting, but it's got a lot of information and I've learned a lot from it.

Me parece interante las web de yelp.com
hay version en español?
Gracias

Get reviews and talk back too!

http://www.yelp.com/

This site fascinated me because its basically a review site of anything you can think of like bars, restaurants, books, e.t.c

The trick about it is that it gives you a selection of your localities and so you can find out what people say about that favorite restaurant you like to hang at.

If you are not happy about given reviews, you have the option to email directly the reviewer too!

Enjoy.

Llarosa,
I haven't been able to find a full spanish version. All I have is a couple of links that might get you started in the right direction.

If you're into Open-Source software or just looking for some free (well, mostly) software - http://www.sourceforge.net is worth checking out. There are thousands of programs on this site for Windows, Linux, Mac (I think), and some other OS's. Most of this stuff is free and some even allow you to download the source-code if you wish to tinker with the program. I've come across only a very few where the software actually costs money (mostly CMS, and EIS type of open-source software). Give it a look.
