I signed up Friday, and followed the instructions posted:
http://forums.x10hosting.com/free-h...-your-hosting-account-your-forum-account.html

When I enter my CPanel username to link, it gives me the message below:

An Error Has Occurred
The hosting username you specified does not exist.

Did I miss something, or do I just need to be more patient for the activation to take place?

Thank You!

When you signed up for the hosting account, did you receive an e-mail and confirm your account? If so, you wouldn't need to follow those linking instructions, as its automatic now.

If you signed up more than a few days ago you might have to sign-up again, it clears the unconfirmed sign-ups every few days.

You also have to confirm your hosting account after you sign-up or it will not be created.

As StarShine said, linking is done automatically when you confirm your account.
